D R K SAIKANTH is a passionate young extension professional presently working with ICAR-ATARI, ZONE- X, Hyderabad as SRF.
He is a research scholar (Ph.D) in Agricultural Extension from Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTAU) Hyderabad and M.Sc (Ag) (Agricultural Extension Education) from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU).
He has also completed Post Graduate Diploma in Plant Health Management (PGDPHM) from National Institute of Plant Health Management (NIPHM), Hyderabad specialized in Plant Bio-security & Incursion Management.
He has a work experience of 5 years as a Extension professional in ANDHRA BANK as Rural Development Officer (RDO), Senior Research Fellow in National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Agricultural Consultant in National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE ) and has developed his interest and expertise in the fields of Extension Management in Agriculture and allied sectors, ICTs, Rural Livelihoods, Transfer of Technology, Gender, Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), Educational Technology.
To his credit he has published research papers in reputed national and international journals, Patents, Copyrights, review articles and books & book chapters on Agricultural Extension Education and Allied sciences.
He is also awarded with various prestigious academic awards from TNAU and other professional organizations. As a young professional he has lead as State President of All India Agricultural Students Association (AIASA) of Telangana State and Organized the 6th National Youth Convention at PJTSAU, Hyderabad and also acted as National Chairman for National Agribusiness and Incubation Cell, AIASA, New Delhi
