Dr. Papita H Gourkhede has a total of 11 years working experience in teaching, research and extension with specialization in soil fertility i.e. nutrient management in different crops, Heavy metal contamination, Remote Sensing and GIS, Organic Farming and soil, plant and water analysis.

During her service carriers she worked in different capacities as senior research assistant and Assistant Professor, Member Scientist in Organic Farming, Associated Team Member in NAHEP project and involved in teaching of different courses to undergraduate and post graduate students, worked as In charge of Central Instrumental cell where soil, plant ,food ,fodder and water analysis carried out for farmers ,students and research stations. She has significant contribution in 14 research recommendations accepted by government of Maharashtra for the benefit of farmers. She has successfully Guided 6 and co guided 25 M.Sc.(Agri) and 4 PhD students in the discipline of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry.

Dr. Papita H Gourkhede has many publication to her credit to mention: Research papers : 49, Papers published in internationally abstracted journals : 28, Papers presented in seminars : 30, Popular articles/ Extension papers : 107 and received Best Poster Presentation in 2016,Young Scientist Awards-2017 sponsored by IJTA and Serials Publications Pvt. Ltd .New Delhi, ICAR Vasant rao Naik award for research application in agriculture in 2018, Maharashtra Shikshan Ratnya Puraskar in 2018, Agrocare Award 2018, Agrocare Award 2018,and State Government of Maharashtra Best Programme Officer of NSS in 2019.

She is also as In-charge of CIC Department of SSAC, VNMKV, Parbhani analyzed soil, water, plant, food, fodder and fertilizer (samples) and generated the revolving fund amounting Rs. 49,27,616/- (for the period 2014 to till date) and analyzed 14,416 Soil sample and distributed Soil Health Card
