Dr U.P. Shahi young Soil Scientist after graduating from UP College Varanasi, did his M.Sc. Ag. & Ph.D. in Soil Science from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar. The contribution of Dr Shahi in Teaching Research and Extension is significant.. In research area Dr Shahi is engaged in different projects in the capacity of PI and co-PI. He had handled 3 internationally funded projects in the capacity of PI (Uralkali Traiding (Gibraltar) Russia, Sirius Minerals Plc London) and CoPI (IRRI-STRASA Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation). He is also associated in the project FASAL and GKMS financed by Ministry of Earth Sciences GOI. He had also presented his research work in the forum of CleanUp 2017 the 7th International Contaminated Site Remediation Conference incorporating 1st International PFAS conference from 10-14 September at Melbourne, Australia. Different societies have acknowledged the contribution of Dr Shahi in the field of teaching research and extension and conferred him with various awards such as .B. Lal Vishisht Shikshak Puraskar-2016 for outstanding contribution in field of Teaching from Uttar Pradesh Academy of Agricultural Sciences in the gracious presence of Shri Ram Naik jee Hon’ble Governor , U.P. and Shri Surya Pratap Shahi Ag Minister U.P. Govt, Young scientist associate award during 2010, Excellence in Teaching Award 2015, Distinguished Scientist award 2016, Outstanding Achievements award 2016.
